The Data and Analytics division is Munich Re's hub for data, analytics, and AI. It drives and coordinates projects which use Analytics and AI technology to transform complex datasets into actionable insights for our core business.
The Central Analytics department drives strategic initiatives in Data & Analytics, enables and supports business & central functions in data analytics & AI and develops scalable solutions for our primary insurance clients.

We are looking for a broadly interested and knowledgeable consultant for our Central Analytics team to support us in driving and executing these activities.
Your Job
- Grow existing and develop new data analytics & AI solutions for internal and external clients based on their needs
- Support, consult and enable internal (central and business units) and external clients in insurance analytics & AI and conduct own analyses
- Execute projects in the area of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI
- Contribute to the further development of the internal technology stack alongside client demands
- Represent the team’s topics vis-à-vis internal and external stakeholders and prepare respective communication, esp. presentations, articles, user guides
Your Profile
Outstanding theoretical and practical understanding of modern statistical modelling, machine learning and AI techniques as well as related technology and software; university degree in data science, statistics, physics, information technology, or an equivalent area of studies
First experience in executing time-critical data analytics projects and solutions
- Knowledge of analytical programming (SQL, R, Python, etc.) and visualization / business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Re- or primary insurance experience, esp. UW and actuarial knowledge, is a plus
- Outstanding communication, presentation and consulting skills combined with a hands-on mentality
- Very high level of commitment, creativity, willingness to travel, and eagerness to work in an international and highly dynamic environment
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a plus
