Your Role and Responsibilities

Willst du, zusammen im weltweiten Team, die Zukunft von IBM z/OS, dem sichersten und stabilsten Betriebssystem, aktiv mitentwickeln?
Im Böblinger Entwicklungslabor entwickeln wir zentrale Komponenten des z/OS Betriebssystems. Eine dieser Softwarekomponenten, der z/OS Data Gatherer, ist die zentrale, strategische Schnittstelle um Zustands-, Performance- und Auslastungsdaten aus den IBM Z Großrechnersystemen abzufragen. Die Software ist in einer IBM eigenen Programmiersprache, Java, Assembler und Python geschrieben. Sie umfasst eine Rest API Schnittstelle und Python Bibliothek, welche z.B. mittels Jupyter Notebooks von Data Scientists abgefragt werden kann.
Wir passen beständig unsere Software an die neuen Anforderungen der Kunden und der Hardware an und erweitern sie mit neuen Funktionen.
Wir suchen einen engagierten Software Engineer, der eigenständig und im internationalen Team zusammen arbeiten kann, der technologieoffen die besten Lösungsansätze evaluiert, implementiert und zur Produktreife bringt.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
