The Expert Group for Safety in the Product line Embedded Software and Systems (PES) developed a demonstrator to provide practical visualizations of widely applied use-cases to internal and external customers. This demonstrator is based on a virtual ECU and is implemented using the AUTOSAR Classic product of Vector, which is called MICROSAR Classic. This demonstrator shall be extended by implementing further features.

These features involve different modules that share their boundaries inside the Vector MICROSAR product. To implement more features, you can choose between various modules and design the architecture based on their interaction. Thus, deepening your understanding of MICROSAR in different horizons.

We are looking for someone with a passion for Embedded Systems and especially focused on the Safety aspects. You will collaborate with our experts in this field, to develop new requirements and implement them. The use-cases are always focused on our customers’ needs and applied to elaborate the concepts to them. Accordingly, the outcome of your work will impact the Vector MICROSAR product and its advisory services.

The vacancy can also be filled as a working student position. It is important to us that you get to know your team and work on-site at Vector. Please note that purely remote work is not possible.

Your Profile:

You study computer science, electrical engineering or a similar discipline
First experiences in Embedded Systems with C
Ideally you are familiar with SW Architecture/ Design
Good German and English language skills

Your Tasks:

Implementing further features as a new Safety use-case based on an existing Demonstrator
Engineer the detailed requirements for your task and make yourself familiar with related topics (e.g. MPU, OS, SWC)
Document the outcome for knowledge sharing with internal and external customers
